Where Might Your Find Yourself Living?
Destination | Highlights |
---|---|
Melbourne Sydney | Perhaps the most famous AUS cities. Big, bustling and full of work. |
Brisbane Wollongong | Less famous, smaller cities. With great weather and a huge uptake in work opportunities. A more chilled, quiet pace of life. Beach-oriented. |
Perth | Home base city to the prosperous mining industry, famous for FIFO. With huge work and pay opportunities. |
Talk to us about the right location for you. We have companies across the country, in big cities, smaller cities and towns! We want to place you somewhere you will truly enjoy living and suits your lifestyle and interests best. We are happy to chat with you about where in Australia seems to suit you most.
Budgeting for Your Move
We will also advise you on how prepared you should be for your move.
Including how much savings you should have and upfront expenses you can expect upon arriving in Australia.
Upon arrival in Australia, you should aim to have at the very least the equivalent of $5,000 AUD in savings. To help with visa minimum saving requirements, flights, getting inside a rental, initial accommodation etc.
Australia is quite a car-centric country and it can be very hard to get around without one. So, most people aim to get a car pretty quickly. However, you will find some bosses (especially Tradie bosses) do give out a company car for you to use. If you do will need or plan to have a car fairly quickly, aim to have at least another $6,000 AUD saved, which can get you a basic second hand car.
In Australia, it is most common to be paid weekly. So, unlike most countries, that means rent is also generally paid weekly. So, you can expect a salary in and rent out every week. We will discuss with you the average weekly wages you can expect to be paid here, depending on your specific trade.
